QUEEENGOLD (queeengold.com) is a blog focused on gold, jewelry, and gemstone education. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you visit this site. I'm not a lawyer and this isn't a law firm's boilerplate — it's a genuine explanation of how this blog works, written so you can actually understand it.
Who runs this blog
QUEEENGOLD is an independently run educational blog. It is hosted on Blogger, which is Google's blogging platform, and the domain queeengold.com is a custom domain pointed at that Blogger-hosted site. Because of that setup, some of what happens with your data is controlled by me as the site owner, and some of it is controlled by Google as the platform provider. I'll try to be clear about which is which below.
What information gets collected
I don't run any custom forms, membership system, or account login on this blog, so I'm not directly collecting names, emails, or personal details from you unless you choose to give them to me — for example, if you leave a comment or contact me directly.
That said, simply visiting the site generates some information automatically, mostly through the platform and tools it runs on:
- Blogger platform data: Because the site runs on Blogger, Google (as the host) processes standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and general access logs, the same way any hosting provider does.
- Cookies: Small text files stored on your device. Some are set by Blogger itself for basic functionality (like remembering display preferences), and others may come from third-party services described below.
- Analytics data: If analytics tools are active on this blog (such as Google Analytics), they collect things like which pages you visited, how long you stayed, what device and browser you used, and roughly where in the world you're visiting from. This data is aggregated and isn't used by me to identify you personally.
- Advertising data: If this blog displays ads through Google AdSense (now or in the future), Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads that are more relevant to you, based on your browsing activity across sites that use Google's advertising services — not just this one.
How I use this information
Whatever data does reach me (mostly in aggregate form through analytics) is used only to understand which articles are useful to readers, what people are searching for, and where the blog could be improved. I don't sell data, I don't maintain a mailing list built from tracking data, and I don't share anything with third parties beyond what Google's own services do as part of running Blogger, Analytics, or AdSense.

Google's role specifically

Comments
If this blog has commenting enabled and you choose to leave a comment, whatever name, email, or website you enter with that comment is visible according to Blogger's comment system settings, and may be publicly displayed alongside your comment. Don't include anything in a comment you wouldn't want to be public.
Links to other sites
Articles on this blog may link out to other websites — jewelers, retailers, reference sources, and so on. Once you click through to one of those sites, this policy no longer applies. Each external site has its own privacy practices, and I'd encourage you to check those separately if you're concerned.
Children's privacy
This blog is written for a general adult audience interested in jewelry, gold, and gemstones. It isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, reach out and I'll address it.
Your choices
